Bridget Boyle was born about 1869 – the daughter of John Boyle, a farmer, and Julia Maley.

When Bridget signed the suffrage petition she was living in Milton.

In the 1900s Bridget entered the Dominican Priory in Dunedin.

In April 1902 she 'received the holy habit' and became known as Sister Mary Anastasia.

She died on 29 November 1945 at St Dominic’s Priory, Dunedin and is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
