Isabella/Bella Gordon Clark was born on 31 July 1871 in Murroes, Angus, Scotland – the daughter of Andrew Clark, a labourer, and Jane Gordon. (See 80 Jane Clark)

She emigrated to Otago in 1883 with her family on the Nelson and they settled in Milton where Isabella signed the suffrage petition.

Isabella had a daughter in 1893 and she married Robert David Cooke, a butcher, in 1903.

They had two children and lived in Christchurch.

Robert died in 1926 and Isabella died on 7 September 1957, they are buried together in the Sydenham Cemetery.
