Isabella Pryde was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Pryde, a farmer, and Bridget Mary McGrath.
Isabella married Alexander Romeo Pollock, a seaman, on 10 October 1892 and when she signed the suffrage petition they were living in Grosvenor St, Kensington, Dunedin.
They had eight children – when their youngest child was two-years-old, in 1914, Alexander died at the age of 48.
Isabella died on 15 October 1961, she is buried with Alexander in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
