Elizabeth/Bessie Graham was born in 1860 in Longtown, Cumberland, England – the daughter of Francis Lamb Graham, a farmer, and Margaret Ferguson. (See 102 Mrs Graham)
She emigrated to Otago in 1881 on the Wild Deer with her family and they settled in Waikouaiti, north of Dunedin.
Bessie signed the suffrage petition in Waikouaiti – she did not marry and she died there on 30 January 1944.
She is buried in the family grave in the Waikouaiti Cemetery.
