Catherine Berry Robertson was born on February 29th 1856 in Belhelvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland – the daughter of Robert Robertson & Margaret Hendry.
She emigrated to New Zealand with her family in 1860 on the Henrietta.
Catherine married William Pittaway, a railway labourer, in 1875. They had 8 children and lived in Palmerston in North Otago where she signed the suffrage petition.
Catherine died at her home on September 22nd 1904 and William died in 1908. They are buried in the Palmerston Cemetery.
