Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Christine Dall was born on 2 April 1847 in Fâches-Thumesnil, Nord, France - the daughter of Thomas Dall, the manager of a factory manufacturing navy canvas, and Ann Robertson. (See 46 A Dall)

In 1852 the family emigrated to Otago on the Slains Castle – they stayed in Dunedin for four years before moving to a farm in Tokomairiro.

Christine did not marry and when her parents retired from the farm she moved with them to Forth St, Dunedin where she signed the suffrage petition.

She died on 10 December 1908 and is buried with her parents and sister Mary in the Northern Cemetery.
