Christina McLaren was born on 4 November 1854 in Perthshire, Scotland – the daughter of John McLaren, a shepherd, and Joan McGregor. (See 54 Mrs McLaren)
The family emigrated to Otago in 1860 on the Silistria and settled in Dunedin.
Christina married Raymond Leicester Reynolds, a bootmaker, on 23 December 1880 at her parent’s home and they had six children.
When Christina signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Main Rd, Maori Hill, Dunedin.
Raymond died in 1922 and Christina died on 27 April 1932, they are buried with Christina’s parents in the Southern Cemetery.
