Catherine Robertson was born about 1833.
She married Donald Robertson, a carpenter, in 1869 in New Zealand. They had four children.
Donald died in January 1891 and later that year her eldest son died when a scaffolding he was working on collapsed. She was awarded compensation.
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living in Russell Street, Dunedin, with her son.
She died on November 29th 1918. She is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
