Agnes Wilson was born about 1840 in Scotland, the third daughter of William Wilson.

She came to New Zealand and she married Daniel McLean Campbell, a mason, on March 4th 1862 in Dunedin.

They had eight children, one who died in infancy. They lived at first in Oamaru then at Tokomairiro where Daniel was declared insolvent.

They later lived in Waitahuna before moving to Dunedin in 1883.

When Agnes signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Waverley St, South Dunedin.

Daniel died in 1900 and Agnes died on March 2nd 1925. They are buried together in the Southern Cemetery.
