Catherine Dix was born about 1844 in England and she married John William Dix.
When she signed the suffrage petition, Catherine was living in Forth St, Dunedin, with her husband and son.
John Dix died in 1910 and Catherine died on 22 March 1922. They are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
