Catherine Sime was born about 1827 in Dundee, Scotland – the daughter of James Sime, a joiner, and Agnes Raitt.
She did not marry and sometime in the 1870’s she emigrated to Dunedin to live near her niece. (See 171 Agnes Randle)
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living in Forbestown, Roslyn.
She died in Dunedin on 17 August 1918 and is buried with her nephew and his family in the Northern Cemetery.
