Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Catherine/Kate Ellis married 62-year-old widower Joseph Turner, a builder, in 1876.

They lived at 24 Cranmer Square where Catherine signed the suffrage petition.

Joseph died in 1909, at the age of 95 – he is buried with his first wife in the Barbadoes Street Cemetery.

Catherine stayed at Cranmer Square for the next couple of years – her activities after this are unclear.
