Catherine Light was born about 1850.
She married Charles William Turner, a labourer, on 20 August 1874 in Dunedin and they had eight children.
The family moved to Hampden in the 1880s which is where Catherine signed the suffrage petition.
Charles died in July 1932 and Catherine died later that year on 2 October, they are buried together in the Hampden Cemetery.
