Charlotte Sarah Stuart was born in Australia about 1859.
She married James George Walter Scott, a carpenter, in 1874. They had eleven children. When Sarah signed the suffrage petition, the family was living in Cameron St, South Dunedin.
Charlotte died on 13 March 1920. James died in 1926. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
