Christina Jane Fraser Rowe was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of Edward Rowe, a farmer, and Christina Hynd. (See 133 Christina Rowe)
She married Henry Fryer, a storeman, in 1882 and they had 14 children, three who died in infancy.
Henry was declared bankrupt in 1886 and when Christina signed the suffrage petition they were living in Gore.
The family moved to Hawera in 1895 where Henry worked as a carpenter.
Christina died on 28 February 1932 and Henry died in 1940 – they are buried together in the Hawera Cemetery.
