Christina Henderson was born on 20 April 1823 in Stirlingshire, Scotland – the daughter of Alexander Henderson and Christina Taylor.
She married John McMillan, a carpenter, on 23 May 1852 in Lanarkshire.
They do not appear to have had any children and they emigrated to Otago in about 1859, possibly on the Sevilla.
They settled in Dunedin and when Christina signed the suffrage petition they were living in Grosvenor St, Kensington.
Christina died on 11 March 1897 and John died in 1904 – they are buried together in the Southern Cemetery.
