Christina Vere Buchannan Wilson was born on 23 April 1842 in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland  - the daughter of Andrew Houston Wilson, a baker, and Isabella Buchanan.

She came to New Zealand with her father and sister in the 1860s and married Adam Christie Sinclair, a riveter, in 1868.

They had nine children, two of who died in infancy.

When Christina signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Main Taieri Rd in the Kirkland Hill subdivision of Dunedin.

Christina died at her home on 4 August 1901 and Adam died in 1926, they are buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.

Christina Sinclair (nee Wilson) is my Great Grandmother. She was born in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland in 1842. She married Adam Sinclair in Dunedin in 1868. She bore him 9 children. They lived in Roslyn, Dunedin.
