Clementina Jane/Jeannie Catherine Johnstone was born in 1863 in Milton – the daughter of Thomas Johnstone and Margaret Gray Duff. (See 104 Margaret Johnstone)
When she signed the suffrage petition Clementina was living with her family in Milton working as a dressmaker.
She married John Kelman, a dredgeman from Alexandra, on 30 September 1896 at her parents’ home in Milton.
They had one son and lived at Millers Flat.
Clementina and John celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1946 – Clementina died the following year, at her home in Milton, on 12 February and John died in 1948.
They are both buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
