Colina Jane MacGibbon was born in 1872 in New Zealand – the daughter of Thomas MacGibbon, a storekeeper, and Isabella Williamson Nairn.

When Colina signed the suffrage pettiton she was living in Mataura in Southland. 

She married farmer William Robson in 1911 in England and they had a son in New Zealand in 1913.

William died in Dunedin in 1949 – he was cremated.

Colina died at New Plymouth on 17 July 1955 – her burial place is unknown.
