Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Dagmar Theresa Craven was born in New Zealand in 1868, the daughter of William Craven, a miner from Denmark, and Mary Ann.

When she signed the suffrage petition, Dagmar was living in Great King St, Dunedin. The electoral roll states her occupation as 'domestic duties'. Also at this address was Dagmar's mother, Mary Ann, and sister, Laura, who also signed the petition.

Dagmur did not marry. She died in June 1927 and is buried in the Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
