Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Annie Eliza Ford was born about 1865 in New Zealand.

She married James John Ardagh, a storekeeper, in 1883 and they had nine children, one who died in infancy.

When Annie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Ngapara in North Otago.

In later life they went to live near family in Timaru where Annie died on 24 February 1933 and James died the following year.

They are buried together in the Timaru Cemetery.
