Elizabeth Margaret Christie was born in 1866 in New Zealand – the daughter of Alexander Kerr Christie, a storeman, and Margaret Bruce. (See 167 M Christie)

Elizabeth did not marry and when she signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in York Place, Dunedin.

She died on 24 December 1948 and is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
