Elizabeth Dickinson Cole was born about 1859 in England – the 'eldest daughter of Thomas Cole, Sydney'.
She married Rev Thomas Paulin on 25 December 1891 in the East Taieri Presbyterian Church.
When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition they were living in the Manse, Queenstown.
Elizabeth and Thomas moved to the North Taieri Parish in 1895 where their son was born on 14 March 1897.
Elizabeth died the following day and she is buried in the East Taieri Cemetery.
Thomas re-married in 1909 and he died in 1921 and is buried in the Tapanui Cemetery.
