Eugenie Stuckle was born about 1850 in France.

She married draper William Dunn in London in 1880 and soon after they emigrated to New Zealand.

They settled in Dunedin where they had five children, one who died in infancy.

When Eugenie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in St Clair and she was working as a dressmaker.

William died in 1932 and Eugenie died on 5 December 1945 – they are buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
