Elizabeth Geggie was born in 1862 in Zealand – the daughter of John Geggie and Ann Mary Petrie. (See 106 A Geggie)
When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition she was living on the family farm 'Mount Belleview' in the Puerua district.
Elizabeth married Matthew Dalgliesh, a shepherd, on 9 August 1895 at her parent’s home and they had four children.
The family lived in Oamaru and Palmerston in the South Island before moving to Palmerston North where they celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary.
Elizabeth died at her daughter’s home in Palmerston North on 9 April 1949 and Matthew died in 1951, they are buried together in the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, Palmerston North.
