Elizabeth Strachan Muir was born in 1867 in New Zealand – the daughter of William Muir, a carpenter, and Annie Fyfe. (See 110 Annie Muir)
Elizabeth spent her early life in Clinton in South Otago where she signed the suffrage petition.
Elizabeth married Hugh Clark, a farmer, in 1906 and they had two children.
The family lived near Portobello on the Otago Peninsula where Hugh died in 1943.
Elizabeth died on 16 May 1950 in Andersons Bay, Dunedin –they are buried together in the Portobello Cemetery.
