E. PARRANT is undoubtedly Emma, nee ARNOLD 1870-1950, wife of Leonard 1867-1934. Emma was visiting her illiterate mother Ann BISHOP formerly ARNOLD nee CASHMORE ca 1832-1893 in Campbelltown (later Rongotea). Emma's older sister Sarah Maria 1857-1920 had married Bulls / Rongotea blacksmith John GLOVER 1858-1943 in 1880. Emma's soon-to-be sister in law Clara Eliza LANGLEY ca 1867-46 (m. William John ARNOLD 1861-1941) was also in Campbelltown at the time. Clara wrote Ann's name which was duly signed "X".
