Edith Alice Thompson was born in 1860 in New Zealand - the daughter of Thomas Thompson & Anne Matthews.
She grew up in Dunedin & when she signed the suffrage petition she was either living with or staying with her sister Etta in Heriot Row.
Edith died in Timaru on June 5th 1933 - she is buried with her parents in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
