Ellen/Helen Wilson was born in 1869 in Dunedin – the daughter of William Wilson, a foundry manager, and Helen Marshall. (See 28 Mrs Wilson)

When Ellen signed the suffrage petition she was living at the family home in St Clair, Dunedin.

She did not marry and she died on 25 November 1943 in Dunedin.

Ellen is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
