Eliza Maud Davis was born about 1871.
She married James William Jeffery Jacob, a seaman, in 1889 and they had four children.
When Eliza signed the suffrage petition the family were living in North East Valley, Dunedin.
They moved to Wellington, then to Masterton, where James worked as a baker.
James died in 1946 and Eliza died on 12 September 1955 – where they are buried is unknown.
