Eliza Mary Dewe Lindsay was born at Birkenshaw Farm, near Milton in 1862 – the daughter of George Lindsay, a farmer, and Margaret Morrison. (See 104 Mrs Geo Lindsay)
When Eliza signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family near Milton.
She married Thomas Millar Bryce, a blacksmith, on 11 March 1896, at her parents’ home, Birkenshaw Farm.
They had four children and lived in Milton.
Thomas died at their home in 1924 and Eliza died in Dunedin on 13 March 1950, they are buried together in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
