Eliza Elizabeth Low nee Myall was born 4th April 1854 Bermondsey Surrey England. She came to Port Chalmers Dunedin with her parents James and Sarah Ann (nee Martin), sister Alice (Mrs Carrington) and brothers James and William Alfred on the 'Evening Star' in 1860. She married James Daniel Low in Dunedin in 1874. They were the caretakers of the Dunedin Town Hall living on site having the address of 'The Town Hall Octagon'. Their family of three were Eliza Ann born 1887, Minnie Alice born 1881 and William James born 1886. Eliza died 16 December 1946 and was buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery with her husband who died in 1934.
