Eliza Ball was born about 1844, she married Frederick James Page in Somerset, England in 1872 and they emigrated to Otago in 1873 on the Cospatrick.

They settled in Dunedin and had 10 children.

When Eliza signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Caversham, Dunedin.

Eliza died at her home on 3 December 1913 and Frederick died in 1923, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
