Eliza Clarke was born about 1839 in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England.

She married Robert George Pickworth, an agricultural labourer, in 1858 and they had 6 children, one who died in infancy, before the family emigrated to Otago in 1875 on the Gareloch. They settled in Palmerston where they had a further 3 children, Robert worked as a labourer, and Eliza signed the suffrage petition.

Eliza died on August 14th 1901. She is buried in the St John’s Churchyard, Waikouaiti.

Robert re-married the following year. He died in 1903 and is buried in the Palmerston Cemetery.

There is a transcription error here. The name should be "Eliza Pickworth". She was the mother of MEB Pickworth and Sophia Muncey who also signed on that page
