Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Eliza Lewis was born about 1858.
She married John Timlick/Timblick in 1876 in New Zealand and they had eight children.
When Eliza signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Whitstone in North Otago.
In 1919 they sold their land at Whitstone and went to live with their son at Te Mawhai near Te Awamutu.
John died there in 1920 and Eliza died on 23 November 1931 – they are buried together in the Te Aroha Cemetery.
