Elizabeth Mackie Rea was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of Martin Rea, a farmer, and Ewen Dall. (See 110 Ewen Rea)
When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Wairuna in South Otago.
She married John Wilson Bell, a labourer in 1911 and they lived in Warrington, north of Dunedin.
Elizabeth died in Dunedin on 15 May 1917, she is buried in the Clinton Cemetery.
John’s date and place of death is unknown.
