Elizabeth Ware, nee Cordwell. Died 22 February 1927 aged 76 years at Auckland. Wife of the late Henry Thomas Ware.
She was born at Blackfriars, London, 76 years ago. Arrived in NZ with her husband (who died 10 years ago) in 1873 in Napier. They remained there for some time then went to Oroua Downs. They came to Woodville in 1875 and she lived at their residence at Gorge Road until recent times. She lead a very quiet life but made many friends. Daughters Mrs Daniel McCurdy (1896) and Mrs Fitt (Auckland), Mrs Blackburn (Palmerston North) and Mr Harry Ware (PN) Edward (Hastings), William and Alfred (Eltham) and Charles (Woodville)
