Elizabeth Fow was born in Ludborough, Lincolnshire, England on 3 October 1860.

On the 1861 census she was living in Chapel St, Ludborough, Lincolnshire and by 1871 census she was living in Odd House, Haugham, Lincolnshire with her parents and siblings.

In 1874 Elizabeth's father and mother, George and Susanna Fow, with their 10 children came to New Zealand on the Geraldine Paget leaving England on the 18 September 1874 and arriving on the 27 December 1874 in Canterbury. Elizabeth is shown as a Servant from Lincoln, aged 13 at the time.

Elizabeth married Robert Lievesley Wilson on 5 July 1880 in the house of her father Geo. Fow, Belt St. Waimate. Together they had eight children, three boys and three girls, twin boys died at birth.

On 30 January 1913 Elizabeth died at 9 Upper High St., Waimate after a long and trying illness. 

She was buried on February 2nd in Plot 155, Area 31, Waimate Old Cemetery. The funeral leaving from her residence.
