Ellen was born in 1849 and married Benjamin Gott – she died 12 May 1934 at 84 years. Benjamin Gott died 15 June 1919 at 75 years and was then living at 57 Lincoln Road, Spreydon.

Ellen and Benjamin had two children: Henry Ernest and Agnes. 

Agnes married James William Marshall at the Spreydon Methodist Church on 3 August 1917.  James was a farmer and he and Agnes lived at Springston. Their son Norman Joseph William died in the Second World War on 28 August 1941, aged 21. There is also a record of a James William Marshall who died aged three years.

Henry Ernest (warehouse man) married Cornelia (1876-1952) and they had, Doris Ellen (1906), John Boyd (1908), Mildred May (1910) Edna Agnes, and Ida Ethel. Henry died in 1960 aged 85 years, and is buried at Sydenham Cemetery.
