Emma Davies nee Grinlinton was 15 years old when she arrived in Hawkes Bay 27 July 1874 on the Winchester with her parents W. N. and Jane Grinlinton (d 1883).
Married Cradoc Davies 1875 and had 4 boys and 3 girls. Cradoc died 26 January 1896 age 44 years When Cradoc died she carried on business drapery, haberdashery and ladies outfits until 1912.
