Frances Annie Mitchell was born about 1847.
When she signed the suffrage petition Frances was living with her husband Edward in George St, Dunedin. The 1893 electoral roll confirms Frances Annie George St
Edward has worked as a fruiterer but was declared bankrupt in 1891. Frances then took over the business and Edward worked as a harness maker.
Frances died on 14 October 1902 and Edward died in 1904 – they are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
