Fanny Rogers Brooke nee Waby (1861–1941). She was the wife of Wesleyan minister Rev Thomas George Brooke (1849–1931) who was stationed at St Pauls Wesleyan Church, Greymouth.

1861 in Lincolnshire, England – the daughter of George Chester Waby, a labourer, and Elizabeth Rogers.
She emigrated to Canterbury with her family on the Glenmark arriving in January 1865 and they settled in Southbridge on the Canterbury Plain.
Fanny married Rev Thomas George Brooke at her parents’ home on 16 July 1884.
They had three children and lived in Hokitika, Greymouth (where Fanny signed the suffrage petition), Ashburton, Dunedin and New Plymouth.
When Thomas retired in 1924 the family settled in Auckland where Thomas died in 1931 and Fanny died on 18 November 1941 – they are buried together in the Hillsborough Cemetery.
