Fanny Ready nee Luxton (1860-1940). Wife of Bible Christian minister Rev William Ready (1860-1927) who was stationed at Dunedin Central Bible Christian Church.

Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley:

Fannie Luxton was born in 1860 in Winkleigh, Devon, England – the daughter of William Luxton, a farmer, and Maria Davie.

Fannie came to New Zealand in the 1880’s – she married Rev. William Ready on 31 March 1890, at the Bible Christian Church, Christchurch.

They had three sons and moved around the country, with William’s work ending up in Auckland where they were living when William died in 1927.

Fannie died in October 1940 in Remuera. She is buried with her husband in the Purewa Cemetery.
