Frances Sarah Billington was born about 1860, she emigrated to New Zealand and married John George Fawcett, a compositor, in 1876.
They had six children and when Frances signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Cannongate St, Dunedin.
In 1928 Frances and John retired to Cromwell to live with their daughter.
John died in Cromwell in 1930 and is buried in the Cromwell Cemetery.
Frances died in Christchurch on 19 May 1941, she is buried in the Bromley Cemetery.
