Georgina Adams was born in New Zealand in 1863 – the daughter of George Adams and Isabella Hogg.
She married John Douglas Fletcher, a tailor, on 24 February 1882 in Dunedin and they had four children.
When Georgina signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Forth St, Dunedin.
They later moved to Christchurch where Georgina died on 11 December 1942.
John died in 1946, they are buried together in the Ruru Lawn Cemetery, Christchurch.
