Augusta Garn was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of Alfred Garn, a tailor, and Frances Anne Wyse. (See 83 Fanny Garn)

When Augusta signed the suffrage petition she was living in Albany St, Dunedin working as a shop assistant.

She married William Geddes on 2 July 1902 and they had two children.

William died in 1910 and Augusta died on 19 June 1936, they are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
