G M Falconer is my Great Grand Mother, she was born in Blairgowrie Perthshire Scotland 16 Jun 1857 as Georgina Menzies Rachel Strachan. Married my Great Grand Father William Falconer 30 Aug 1877.
They lived on a farm (called Balnaciol) they developed just north of the town of Owaka where the raised 15 children.
Georgina was well known in the district as a kind lady who never turned away any visitors and assisted the local Doctor as a midwife throughout the district.
Georgina died 14 Jan 1933 and is buried in the Owaka cemetery
