Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Agnes Mary Greenslade was born in 1846 in Tiverton, Devonshire, England – the daughter of Isaac Greenslade, a maltster, and Elizabeth Gidley.

She married Henry Graham, a boilermaker, on 7 August 1870. Shortly after their marriage they emigrated to Otago and had six children.

The family lived in David St, Caversham where Agnes signed the suffrage petition.

Two of their children died in infancy and another at 20 years of age.

Agnes died on 20 August 1916 and Henry died in 1918. They are both buried in the Southern Cemetery.
