Anderina Green (Ngai Tahu, Kati Mamoe) was born Anderina Mouat at Purakaunui in 1862. She was the second daughter of Peter William Mouat from Delting, Shetland and Maria Catherine Driver, who was herself the daughter of Richard Driver the first pilot of Otago Harbour and Motoitoi, daughter of Kahutia and Mahora. Anderina married a boat builder, Henry Thomas Green in December 1884. They subsequently lived in City Road, Roslyn, where Anderina had at least eight children before dying in 1897, four years after signing the suffrage petition.
