Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley.

Previously transcribed as H Dockerly.

Hannah Conway was born about 1848.

She married John Cowan Docherty/Dockerty, a butcher, on May 7th 1868 in the Green Island parish. They had eight children.

They lived at first in the Brighton district before moving to Palmerston in North Otago where, in 1882, John was declared insolvent.

They later moved to Dunedin and were living in Filleul St when Hannah signed the suffrage petition.

John died at Dunedin Hospital in 1896, and Hannah died on October 27th 1916. They are buried together in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
